After a tumultuous couple of years our popular summer racing event, previously known as Whidbey Island Race Week, almost became Point Roberts Race week but was sidelined due to covid, is now fully set up and running in it’s new location, Anacortes, Washington June 21-25 – a full 5 days of racing in the San Juan Islands.
The One Design fleets are looking strong in it’s first year at the new location, with J105s, J80s, and J70s on the scratch sheet. For the PHRF side there are showings from a myriad of J/Boat models: J/120, J/111, J/109, J/35, J/99, J/33, J/88, J/90, J/30 and J/29. Over 50% of the current entries are from the J/Boat lineup. Showing once again that the Pacific Northwest is truly J/Boat country.

One top of all that we are honored to share the news that the Pacific Coast Yachting Association has chosen Anacortes Race Week, and the J/105 class specifically, as the venue to compete for the coveted Jesse L. Carr Trophy. As the attached document explains, the Carr Trophy is a perpetual trophy that travels between four Pacific Coast districts, and is designed to recognize the accomplishments of a skipper and his/her crew in a One Design class
Sail Northwest and our sister company, the Seattle Sailing Club, are long time supporters of this event and are truly humbled to see such a large showing of our primary model line, J/Boats.
