The Farr 1220 Kotuku has arrived at our docks and is ready for showings!
“One of life’s more difficult tasks is to sail aboard a Bruce Farr design and find something wrong with the boat” says Sailing Worlds Chris Hufstader in his 1988 review of the Farr 1220. Hufstader goes on to say that “This boat was designed and built to be a good offshore cruiser that will take you where you want to go quickly and in comfort and, from everything I could see, it will.”
Farr design number 165, this 1220 has proven herself offshore in California and to Hawaii, has sailed to Europe, across the Atlantic and throughout the islands of the Caribbean. With her current owners Kotuku has cruised the Northwest in comfort and style while managing to win most races in the area. Her equipment is what one would expect in a boat of this pedigee: fridge, freezer and Stove/Oven are just some of the large and bright below deck comforts. Above deck she is complete with racing & cruising sails, carbo foil and Asym spinnaker gear for sailing ease and racing performance.
